Although I took a long time to get through the first part of this book, I devoured the second half, finding a lot of answers to my struggles and making me feel a WHOLE lot better about where I am. It set my mind working and let me relax into where I am now, without feeling guilty and very apologetic to many.
I would like to buy several copies for a few people, but often have found that people aren't ready yet.

I really like the actual tactile nature of the dice, although the app is highly portable I must admit. Thanks for letting us know about these.

Hey and Darren I wonder if Pete Wards new writing on celebrity might have something to say...

It was fascinating to see so many mobile phones and for U2 also to embrace those instead of the old cigarette lighters for atmosphere in 'Moment of Surrender' at the end. Some perhaps used for any and all the reasons you reflect on or Steve helpfully adds.

I know that for myself I was actually conscious every time I took a picture and a few times I decided not to, that it was interrupting my experience in some way. But the people around us may have never felt that... who knows!

There's a research challenge and a reason to attend 'Big Day Out'!!

I also wonder what "the moment" is whether its being there at the concert, or is it listening to the music or is it having other people know that you're at the concert?

Interesting reflection. I would love to do some research on this - actually ask people what they are doing. It's so easy for an onlooker to make judgements about the spirituality/technology use of another. Are they not living in the moment? Or are they wanting to share that moment, hence the phone call during the song? Are they want to DIY their own "artifacts" - create their own altar in order to memorialise the moment?

Great shot. speaks to me of Advent - the long wait

Hey Daz just been playing around with your website and found this blog.. I wanted to share my experience both times I have been before the "panel" of people I have gone saying I think I am called to this but I am not sure and it is actually ok if you don't agree.. I would understand.. I went with a questioning a need of clarity about what the church thought I was called to be.. From that perspective the first time it was bugger I can't run away and live a beach bum youth worker life after all (long story) and the second time it was nice for the clarity.. Again it would have been nice to be given permission to take the easy option but unfortunately not!
Didn't make the process any easier just felt like I was honest about it..
Hope your well, thanks for your website been a nice place to sit my brain for a bit..
